The contents of the letter explained that the formation of the Council of Colonels was not known in the AD / ART or in the party regulations. The contents of the letter also pointed out that there was no military structure within the PDIP.
Furthermore, the letter also pointed out that the presidential candidate was the authority of PDIP general president Megawati Soekarnoputri, which was decided by the results of the 5th PDIP congress. The PDIP claimed that the formation of the “Colonel Council” violated and that disciplinary and organizational sanctions would be imposed on cadres who violate it.
The letter was signed by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Honorary Head of PDIP DPP Komarudin Watubun.
