Valtteri Bottas repeats itself. After dominating the morning free practice a Sochi, the pilot of the Mercedes he also won the afternoon session ahead of his teammate Lewis Hamilton with a time of 1’33 ″ 519. The world champion, who in morning he had dedicated himself to work on hard tires, he went back to looking for the time, but finished in second place behind by more than 2 tenths.
Behind the two Mercedes are there Renault of Ricciardo, and the two McLaren by Sainz and Norris. Farther Max Verstappen, just seventh.
Ferrari slightly recovering but always very far away: Charles Leclerc finished in eighth place, Sebastian Vettel it is instead tenth. More encouraging for the Cavallino, especially for the Monegasque, the race pace of the red cars.
The best of Racing Point is that of Perez, sixth, while Stroll is seventeenth. The Alfa Romeo: Raikkonen is fourteenth, Giovinazzi penultimate.
