Explore over 50 companies and institutions at the Job Start Exchange in Breisach

Schoolchildren can get to know over 50 companies and institutions in the Breisgau Hall on Thursday and Friday. Career aspirations are explored there at eye level.

Next Thursday evening, October 26th, and Friday morning, October 27th, the job start exchange will take place in the Breisgau Hall in Breisach. The well-known event is aimed primarily at students in higher grades, but also at their parents and teachers. As in previous years, the job start exchange in Breisach gives regional companies the opportunity to present their internships, training and study offers. This year, 54 exhibitors will once again present over 100 apprenticeships and over 50 dual study programs.

The trade fair is organized by BZ.medien GmbH & Co. KG, which also includes the Badische Zeitung, in cooperation with AOK Südlicher Oberrhein. The health insurance company AOK developed this platform for companies and young people 22 years ago. Last year around 1,000 visitors were counted in the Breisgauhalle. Breisach’s mayor Oliver Rein has once again taken over the patronage of the regional job exchange this year.

The job start exchange can be an important meeting point not only for the companies, institutions, universities and schools involved, but of course for students and their parents: at the contact exchange they can get a comprehensive picture of their dream job on site communicate directly and easily with superiors, training managers and trainees. In personal conversations, the young people can ask questions, for example about the expectations of trainees, what strengths are required in the desired profession, what prospects are available after training or what salary is in prospect.

According to the press release, the job start exchange is also proving to be extremely interesting for young people who are considering a dual course of study. This special form of training is very popular with both students and companies. The range of careers presented at the trade fair will be wide-ranging, from commercial professions and skilled trades to healthcare, banking, the metal and construction sectors and retail – the list of training positions on offer is long and varied. Occupations are also presented that may have been previously unknown to young people or about which they previously had little information.

“Companies have the chance to discover promising talent, while students and parents receive an invaluable opportunity to find out about their career prospects and make valuable contacts,” write the organizers.

Last weekend the stock exchange was a guest in Emmendingen. Last stop is on the 1st/2nd. February 2024 planned in Freiburg. Admission is always free.
