The leaders of the SPÖ and FPÖ met for a round of explorations in Eisenstadt on Wednesday morning. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) received in his office deputy governor Johann Tschürtz (FPÖ) and the designated FPÖ state party chairman, State Councilor Alexander Petschnig, for an interview.
The mood seemed relaxed at the start. The disappointment he articulated on Monday about the coalition partner was not evident in Tschürtz. The country chief joked that he had put on a blue jacket.
On Thursday, the Greens were the last of the parties in the state parliament to be invited to talk to Doskozil. Then the SPÖ regional party presidium and the party board meet. Among other things, the final allocation of mandates is decided. The results will then be announced at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
