SRAGEN, JOGLOSEMARNEWS.COM – The case of corona virus or covid-19 in Sragen continues to skyrocket. Today, sad news came from RSUD Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen after 40 medical personnel or health workers (Nakes) at the hospital tested positive for Covid-19.
This fact was revealed from the latest data reported by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 in Sragen, Saturday (5/9/2020) evening.
From the data reported by the task force, today there are the addition of 40 new cases, all of which come from health workers at RSUD Sragen. From its distribution, Karangmalang Subdistrict has the most number of 12 people, followed by Sragen City with 9 people. The rest are scattered in Tanon, Masaran, Plupuh, Kedawung, Ngrampal.
“Yes, today we get a report that there are 40 health workers at the dr Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Hospital who are positive,” said the Sragen Regent, Kusdinar Untung Yuni Sukowati, to JOGLOSEMARNEWS.COM , Saturday (5/9/2020).
The Regent said that the explosion of the Covid-19 case among the hospital health workers was indeed quite surprising. However, he conveyed that the significant increase in cases was also the result of the swab test which is carried out almost every day on employees and health workers at the hospital owned by the Sragen Regency Government.
He said there were 400 employees and health workers there. With every day there are about 100 people who are answered, automatically the risk will be positive.
“Because there are 400 employees. If you get tested, there must be a positive risk. If every day there are 100 people diswab gradually, just count it yourself, it will certainly increase and continue. And it will not stop because not all have been tested, “he explained.
The Regent conveyed that the current spike in covid-19 cases in Sragen cannot be separated from the diligent swab test activities being carried out. This is in accordance with the president’s instructions to carry out a daily swab test.
Regarding the explosion of cases in hospital health workers, according to him what needs to be done now is how they treat them.
“Are we going to take care at the Tecnopark or the health workers because they already have knowledge above the community, they can be isolated in their respective homes. We will still see the capacity at Technopark and the hospital whether it can accommodate for independent isolation, “he said.
Separately, the Head of District Health Office (DKK) Sragen, Hargiyanto, said that the capacity of independent isolation at Technopark Sragen is still adequate.
His party ensures that the 40 positive health workers will be treated at Technopark. According to him, the health workers were in good condition without clinical symptoms or asymptomatic.
On the other hand, with an additional 40 positive cases today, the total number of positive cases will reach 332 cases. In details, 150 patients were treated, 164 recovered and 18 died.
Then there were 215 suspected covid-19, treated 12 people, 169 recovered and 34 died. Until today, 77 residents have been isolated independently and 567 people have had close contact with positive patients.
While overall, to date, 55 residents have died related to Covid-19. The details are 18 positive residents, 34 suspects, one positive patient recovered and died, one ODP from Jati Sumberlawang, and one PP under five from Kedawung. Wardoyo
