Experts will analyze cybersecurity in the video game sector on the occasion of Safe Internet Day

The Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), a body under the Ministry of Employment, Training and Self-Employed Work, organizes on February 9 the online seminar ‘Feel Safe While Playing’ on cybersecurity in the video game sector.

This is a free dissemination action within the collaboration agreement reached by the IAJ with the Spanish Federation of Videogame and eSports Players (Fejuves) and that coincides with the celebration of the International Safe Internet Day, as explained in a statement by the Meeting.

The event, which will be broadcast from 10:00 am on the YouTube channels (‘https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4xpdrtGZwOoMUsv9uOMY8w’) and Twitch (‘https://www.twitch.tv / fejuves’) from Fejuves, will feature the Spanish Hearthstone world champion player, Esteban Serrano (Akawonder) ‘https://www.twitch.tv/akawonder’.

The Cybersecurity expert Juan Antonio Calles (CEO of Zerolynx), the director of the IAJ, David Morales, and the president of the Federation, Marco Antonio Ramos, will also participate in the ‘webinar.

Video games are the first leisure choice for the sector of the population ranging from 14 to 26 years old. For this reason, with this type of action from the IAJ it is intended “to guide young people so that they see in the ‘gaming’ sector, in addition to entertainment, a job opportunity of the best level and with future prospects”.

In addition, thanks to the collaboration agreement signed by the IAJ with Fejuves, all users of the Youth Card will be able to have a 15% discount on the federation’s courses and training. To this end, the Federation’s educational advisers have prepared initial training in different fields (Script and Narrative of videogames, eSports, Initiation to Virtual Reality through Unity, Cybersecurity) so that young people can expand their knowledge about the sections of the sector that are most interesting to them.

The signed agreement also contemplates other actions in addition to training and education, such as content generation and social projects that are developed in the sector.

The IAJ Director General, David Morales Zamora, thanked Fejuves for their “commitment and collaboration”, as a member entity, with the Andalusian Youth Card, an instrument “of tremendous utility for young people, which allows them to have access to numerous advantages , discounts and gratuities in fields as important for their personal development as leisure, culture, services and training for entrepreneurship and employment, the latter fields that concern us especially “.

For his part, President Fejuves, Marco Antonio Ramos, has valued that “young people are the ones who mostly participate and consume the content ‘gaming’, and thanks to this agreement they will know everything that registration in the Federation at the level of training, professional development, competition, healthy habits, legal advice, cybersecurity, virtual reality and the rest of the work that the federation is developing to add value “.
