The Sangirun2023 activity is a night run on land that holds the history of human evolution under the stars lit by moonlight and makeshift torches decorated with light installation technology and enlivened with cultural performances.
Now, with the addition of a unique carnival, Sangiran fair and culinary festival, as well as the music performances of top national artists, this will make the Sangiran ancient human site lively.

Indonesia even has an ancient human site which is considered the largest and most important in the world, namely the Sangiran Site. Sangiran is located at the foot of Mount Lawu, about 15 km from the Bengawan Solo River valley.

Researchers consider Sangiran to be the center of a large, important and complete ancient human civilization in the world because it provides clues about human existence since 150,000 years ago.

Location of the Sangiran Site The Sangiran Site itself is located in two districts in Central Java Province, namely Sragen and Karanganyar Districts, with an area of 59.21 square kilometers.
