Exhibition of the Latvian Designers’ Union “Time” opened / Article / LSM.lv

On August 20, the Latvian Designers’ Union (LDS) exhibition “Time” opened its doors to visitors in the 2nd sports quarter, LDS representatives informed.

The exhibition “Time” is designed as a conversation about time in visual and audio language. It features works by Latvian designers, which are the authors’ free reflection on time in its various meanings.

“Since Einstein’s theory of relativity has shown that time depends on the observer himself, no one has been able to find an unambiguous definition of it. Time can be seen as a key element of the measurement system, it can be captured in the process and can be attributed to place and events, looking at emotions, each person’s personal feelings, ”explained the organizers of the exhibition.

The works of the exhibition were created during the “untimely” time, searching for time in their daily lives and defining everyone’s personal understanding of it, balancing the concepts of time and untimely time.

At the same time, the exhibition survives its story on the web. The exhibition can be viewed digitally LDS on the Facebook page video story format.

Participating in the exhibition: Dace Blūma, Jānis Straupe, Aija Bāliņa, Ināra Liepa, Visvaldis Asaris, Guntars Ošenieks, Varis Dzērve, Kristiana Kazarjana, Anita Rozīte, Alona Fjodorova, Raimonds Šiferis, Inese Līne, Iveta and Kaspars Šmiti, Agara Frei Miks Pētersons, Jānis Vaivods, Česlija Čable, Linda Lazdiņa.

The exhibition is organized by the Latvian Designers’ Union. Project manager: Kristiana Kazarjana. Artistic director: Lāsma Bringina.

The exhibition “Time” is open from August 21 to August 29 in the Sports 2 quarter.
