Jordan Diakiese, former youth player of the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain, died unexpectedly. He was only 24 years old. The cause of death is unclear.
His current club AS Furiani-Agliani (Corsica Island) writes on Facebook: «Our club is in mourning today. We were very painful to learn that our player Jordan Diakiese died in Paris yesterday afternoon. »
Diakiese always smiled, was discreet and a workhorse. He also quickly integrated into the team, it says in the statement. «Of course, our thoughts are with his family, friends and loved ones. You will always be a Furianincu lion. Rest in peace.”
PSG, the youth defender’s youth club, is also shaken. Diakiese, who came to PSG at the age of 13, only left positive memories – both with coaches and with players. “PSG expresses its condolences to his family and club.”
In the 2017/18 season, he laced his shoes for La-Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss Promotion League.
