Tim Muggli and Colin Lindemann receive professional contracts

EV Zug is strengthening its ranks: 18-year-old winger Colin Lindemann is returning to EVZ, and the club is also extending the contract with 20-year-old striker Tim Muggli.

The two strikers Colin Lindemann and Tim Muggli received their first professional contracts at EVZ: Lindemann until 2026, Muggli for the 2024/25 season. The club announced this in a statement.

Lindemann grew up in the EVZ youth ranks and has played for Leksands IF in the Swedish youth league for the last four years. This season he scored 36 points (16 goals/20 assists) in 36 games for Leksands IF U20. The 18-year-old winger already helped out at the EVZ at the Arosa Ice Classic on December 30, 2023 and scored a goal against EHC Arosa.

Colin’s father is Sven Lindemann. He was a player at EVZ from 2010 to 2014. In 2019 he returned to Central Switzerland as youth sports director and has since then also served as head coach of the U15s. He has been the coach of the U17 team since this season.

A change at the end of the season was up for debate

Meanwhile, Muggli made his debut in the National League last season (15 appearances). He has been used 30 times so far this season and recorded one assist. The 20-year-old winger still has a training contract and is completing his commercial apprenticeship this year.

Muggli’s contract extension was not necessarily foreseeable. Because the talented offensive player wants more ice time. He could certainly have imagined changing the club colors at the end of the season. A month ago he said: “I know the teammates, the staff, the organization here and I feel very comfortable. But I’m not averse to a change either.” (tos/pz)
