Everyone has their own debate. Trump and Biden will not meet in person

After Trump backed out of a televised debate that was supposed to take place virtually due to his infection, his rival Joe Biden announced that he would hold his own discussion, the so-called “town hall”, a format where questions are asked by voters.

Donald Trump was not idle and immediately announced the same intention. In addition, his debate will take place at the same time as Biden’s. The American president is known for caring a lot about viewership. He seems to want to compare his popularity with his opponent. The former vice president is often ridiculed that no one goes to his pre-election meetings because he is boring and sleepy.

Trump’s discussion with citizens will take place in Miami, Florida and will be broadcast by NBC and its subsidiaries CNBC and MSNBC. It will be moderated by journalist Savannah Guthrie. North of them, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will be Biden. His performance will be conducted by the seasoned moderator George Stephanopoulos from the ABC station, which will broadcast the event.

Both states are key to the candidates

Referring to the president’s doctors, NBC said any interaction with Trump was completely safe. Voters do not have to worry and can attend the event.

The choice of both places is not purely random. Both Florida and Pennsylvania are states where Republicans and Democrats have traditionally had very balanced support. They are called “swing states” in English, because victory can swing to any side.

Donald Trump acquired both states four years ago. In both, however, according to surveys, his opponent is now leading. In some states, voters can now vote, but most will go to the polls on November 3.
