Even the imam orators did not want imam orators – Sözcü Gazetesi

According to the 2020 LGS Analysis Report; 571 thousand 704 students preferred for central placement. 212 thousand 485 of them were placed in schools that accepted students with an exam in line with their preferences. The preference rate for schools that accept students through the exam was 42.68 percent in 2019, but it fell to 38.84 percent in 2020.

The rate of transition between school types in the transition period from middle school to high school reveals the high school preference tendencies of the students. When we examined which schools the students went to according to the results of the central system placement, it was found that 50.6 percent of the imam hatip secondary school students went to Anatolian Imam Hatip high school, while the rest went to science high schools, social sciences and vocational high schools.

It is thought that the rate of gaining a license in the university entrance examination of these schools decreased to 14 percent last year, which is also effective in the tendency not to go to IHLs.

67 OF 100 STUDENTS DO NOT REQUEST VIOLATION

Education You Chairman Feray Aytekin Aydoğan commented on the report as follows;

* The quota increase in schools accepting students with central examination was increased from 35 percent in Science High Schools to 45 percent in IHLs. Students still chose Science and Anatolian High Schools in the first place.

* While 67 percent of the students entering LGS preferred high schools other than IHL, even half of the imam hatip secondary school graduates did not choose IHL. The 2020 LGS Results are proof that the 4 + 4 + 4 education system, schooling policy, has gone bankrupt.
