Even more infections in De Tweemaster

The number of coronavirus infections continues to rise at De Tweemaster in Maassluis.

The Argos Care Group announced on Monday that in addition to the previously reported seventeen residents, a total of twelve employees have now been tested positive. That’s four more than last weekend. In addition, one resident died. The Tweemaster will therefore remain closed to visitors until further notice.

Argos will continue with preventive testing in conjunction with the GGD in the coming days, which may increase the number of positive tests, even among people without complaints. Through preventive testing, Argos hopes to be able to quickly open (part of) the care home again for a visit. The results of the source and contact research by the GGD are not yet known.

Mayor Haan has sent an open letter to the residents of De Tweemaster. The letter has also been posted on the website of the municipality of Maassluis:
