European Volleyball Championship. Semi-final Poland – Slovenia (1-2) / Article

The European Volleyball Championship is fast approaching its culmination – the semi-final matches will be held in the Polish city of Katowice on Saturday. At 18.20 LTV7 and LSM.lv live game Poland – Slovenia.

In the introduction of the first set, the Slovenian team quickly gained a two-point lead, but very soon the home team, who were considered the favorites of the tournament, not only equalized the result, but took the lead, winning the first set with a convincing 25:17.

In the second set, the Slovenes also managed to take the lead, but at 10:10 they managed to equalize the result. The top of the set turned out to be quite sharp, sometimes leading Poland, sometimes Slovenia. The spectators loudly and emotionally supported their own, but this time the Slovenian turned out to be superior with 32:30.

In the third set, the Slovenes had already felt the taste of victory and quickly took the lead with a difference of six points, and at the 4:10 result, the Poles were forced to demand a break. But the Slovenes continued to grow the points difference and won the set with 25:16.

The Slovenians scored the first point in the fourth set, but then the fight continued point by point until Poland won by two to three points, which did not allow the favorites to feel comfortable.

Of course, the support of the spectators in this duel will belong to the hostess Poland, which won the Russian national team 3-0 (25:15, 26:24, 25:19) in the quarterfinals.

Slovenia, on the other hand, was 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 27:25) ahead of the Czech team in the quarterfinals.
