Intel will release only 125W models this year, which will include the classic trio of Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5. With or without active integrated graphics. The following is a table of basic parameters (so far without basic measures; the higher numerical value refers to the boost of large cores, the lower to the boost of small cores):

From the table with prices (all with VAT) it can be seen that the price of the new top model will be on average 13% higher than the current one (Core i9-11900K). It is known that Intel is in a position Alder Lake much more certain than it was with the generation Rocket Lake.
The news should be published in the fourth quarter of this year. It is expected that Intel could use the deadline of October 27 to introduce and announce the availability date, for which it is preparing an unspecified event.
Processors Alder Lake will compete with the half-generation refresh of AMD processors Zen 3which get the so-called V-Cache. At least for now, it seems that V-Cache will have an impact mainly on game performance (+ 15%), while the application will probably not change so significantly. It could be estimated that Zen 3 with V-Cache, it clears about half the lead it will have Alder Lake before Zen 3 and it will be a temporary solution that AMD will last until the release of the generation Zen 4 a year later.
