The first prize pot in the Eurojackpot had to stand for a long time and was up to 872 million kroner before it finally smoked tonight – and that to a Norwegian player. The Norwegian millionaire shared the prize pool with a Finnish player who also had all 5 + 2 straight.
It became double Nordic when the big pot smoked in the Eurojackpot. Friday’s Norwegian Eurojackpot winner ends up in a good fourth place on the list of the biggest Norwegian million prizes with his 436 million kroner after sharing the pot of 872 million kroner with a Finnish player.

1 million to Tynset
The national winner of 1 million kroner may end up a bit in the shadow of Friday’s Norwegian 1st prize winner. Nevertheless, it was a very happy woman from Tynset who received the winning message from Hamar. She was in a community center in Nord-Østerdalen where she and her band were rehearsing before a dance party the next day.

Eurojackpot changes: two draws a week
After the draw on Friday 18 February, new rules have come into force in the Eurojackpot, which since 2013 has been a popular game in Norway, but after nine years it was time for some renewals. These are the two biggest:
From Friday 25 March, there will be two draw days per week. This means that you can now soon deliver the Eurojackpot also on Tuesdays. the first Tuesday draw kicks off on March 29.
In addition, the maximum ceiling on the 1st prize pool increases to approx. 120 euros, which in writing sum means approx. 1.2 billion Norwegian kroner.
