Euro Stays Above $ 1.12 – What the Common Currency Could Move Today 06/26/20

The euro moved little on Friday morning. Recently, the common currency cost $ 1.1225, the same as in the morning.

There were initially no strong price movements on the foreign exchange market. The European Central Bank (ECB) set the reference rate on Thursday afternoon at exactly $ 1.12.

Before the weekend, some economic data are due in Europe and the USA, but without any particular significance for the financial markets. New ECB money and credit data showed growing growth rates. This is likely to be the result of an increased need for liquidity in the economy in the Corona crisis. Added to this is the considerable cash inflow from the ECB.

In the morning, mood data from Italy are still on the program. In the afternoon, the University of Michigan announces its consumer climate.
