The objective is to support green investments by SMEs, in particular energy efficiency, renewable energies and sustainable management of resources, in order to improve their competitiveness and their access to global value chains.
This EBRD-EU partnership is part of a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening their support for green investments and climate resilience in Morocco, Egypt and the Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine ).
To date, the EBRD has signed € 34 billion in green investments, funded more than 1,900 green projects and reduced more than 102 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
