Bitcoin (BTC) made last night a big jump and then pulled a lot altcoins again. A number of altcoins can rise sharply, causing the dominance of bitcoin to fall back to 40% and the market is increasingly talking about a possible “altcoin season”. The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies has risen nearly 3% in the past 24 hours, finally moving above $2 trillion for the first time since early this month.

Ethereum recaptures $3,000
Ethereum (ETH) was able to see significant gains last week but struggled to hold above USD 2,900 over the weekend. That was successful yesterday, and around 3 a.m. tonight, the ether price rocketed just over 5% to a high of $3,040, the highest price since mid-February. The price then corrected slightly, but still held above USD 2,980 and is back above USD 3,010 this morning. This means that ether is up 3.5% today.
18.3% of #ETH on exchanges (levels not seen since 2018). 27.6% of #Ethereum locked in smart contracts.#ETH/#BTC shows potential capital rotation with more ETH stored in private wallets. Read more here 👇https://t.co/4BUqVxZdUe pic.twitter.com/PQBfs1Rpre

AVAX, LUNA & SOL are lagging slightly today
Avalanche (AVAX) has been the fastest riser among the largest crypto of late, but today is the deepest in the red. AVAX did not make a big jump last night and is even down 3.2%. Nevertheless, AVAX is holding at $88, which is still 30% above last week’s price. Terra (LUNA) is also down 3.1%, appeared to find support around USD 94 this morning, but is now falling to USD 93. Solana (SOL) was able to make a big jump last night, but fell just before that. SOL is back at the same price as 24 hours ago at $91.
Interesting trends in development activity. $SOL activity has come down materially over the last 3 months. $ ETH and $AVAX relatively stable.

SHIB, DOGE & BNB something in the plus
Shiba inu (SHIB) also jumped and fell less quickly, bringing the price up 2% and reaching $0.0000236. We see such a pattern with dogecoin (DOGE) which is up 2.6% and is now pushing towards USD 0.124. Binance coin (BNB) is rising a little less strongly this morning but is still 2.6% in the plus and comes in at $405.
XRP, DOT, ADA hardest risers largest crypto
Ripple (XRP) is already picking up a bit stronger and is up 3.7%, but is still struggling at $0.85. Polkadot (DOT) also made a big jump last night, is up 4.5% and appears to be about to test the USD 20. Cardano (ADA) steals the show today among the largest crypto and is no less than 5.4% in the plus. That may have something to do with this news. ADA currently stands at $0.943.
Weekly chart still looks bearish on #cardano but daily is looking like a potential bounce. 👀#crypto $ADA #TheIndicator pic.twitter.com/PjJw4eTaEq

Top 100 crypto hardest fallers and risers
We have very few top 100 crypto in the red today. The cosmos (ATOM) ecosystem has the heaviest today. Although ATOM itself is only 0.5% down, for Juno (JUNO) it is 4%, and Osmosis (OSMO) is 4.5%. Those are the hardest fallers today and are therefore not so bad.
On the green side we have litecoin (LTC), which is 6% in the plus. Radix (RDX) and nem (XEM) are up 7%, dash (DASH) are up 8%, algorand (ALGO) and helium (HNT) are up 9% and bitcoin cash (BCH) and eos (EOS) are up 10%. Elrond (EGLD) and ethereum classic (ETC) are up 11.5% and are the hardest risers in the top 100 today. ETC is now no less than 67% in the plus compared to a week ago.
