Esteban Ocon has responded to Fernando Alonso’s recent comments, saying he has done “98%” of his work at the Alpine F1 team.
The two seemed to get along well at Alpine F1 Team, but Fernando Alonso made public appearances at both Alpine F1 Team and Esteban Ocon in the final races of his impending move to Aston Martin F1 in 2023. He has become pivotal.
“I was disappointed by his comments in the press, not internally, of course,” said Esteban Ocon.
“We haven’t talked about it and I will continue to hold it in high regard. It’s a good thing”

Ultimately, the Alpine F1 Team finished fourth in this year’s Constructors’ Championship, with Esteban Ocon saying he was impressed by the “very aggressive” development.
In 2023, Pierre Gasly joins the Red Bull family to replace Fernando Alonso.
“We’ve known each other well for a few years now,” said Esteban Ocon, who reportedly feuded with Pierre Gasly.
“The first time he drove a kart it was mine. Then we dreamed together, we entered F1 and we made it”.
Esteban Ocon, 26, says he intends to enjoy the winter off-season to be discreet and cautious.
“I’m the driver who thinks the hardest before doing something dangerous,” admitted Esteban Ocon.
“I know what’s ahead and that people are working hard to give us a chance. I’m not going to spoil it.”
