The offer of charging stations for electric vehicles and hybrids will expand into Essonne over the next few years. The inter-municipal association for development, the river and the water cycle (Siarce) signed last February a partnership with ened to facilitate the project carried by the union of deploy by 2025, 100 new stations of recharging in the important territory in which it operates.
“It is above all a technical support, because Enedis has a fine knowledge of the electricity network, specifies Claire Saint-Laurent, director of sanitation and energy at Siarce. It is about being part of a virtuous approach in favor of ecological transition ”.
10 municipalities eligible for the moment
A master plan was carried out in 2020 with in particular proposals for the installation of terminals for all the municipalities, depending on the future use of the equipment, the population located around or the location of the terminals already existing.
However, only 10 municipalities out of the 68 in which the union operates, can for the moment accommodate one of the 100 charging stations deployed by Siarce because they have transferred to the union the optional competence “Charging infrastructures for electric vehicles” (IRVE). .

The tariff applicable to users will be discussed shortly
Deployment has thus started, particularly in Mennecy where the terminal was put in place in advance as part of road works carried out by the municipality. However, it has not yet entered service.
And for good reason, the price of the service applicable to users has not yet been defined. A deliberation in this direction should be debated at the next union committee on April 15.
“Once this amount has been fixed, the deployment of terminals will continue in May and June, then as new municipalities delegate IRVE competence to the union”, explains Claire Saint-Laurent.
For each charging station, the average cost, including supply and installation, is estimated by Siarce at 12,000 euros. 50 to 60% of this amount is financed by the payment of government grants. For its part, the union covers 20% of the cost, which reduces the remainder to be paid by the municipalities.
