ESL Announces Call of Duty Mobile World Championship at DreamHack Atlanta with $1M Prize Pool

The organizer of esports tournaments ESLPart of the group ESL FACEIThas announced that the next Call of Duty Mobile World Championship will be in DreamHack Atlanta. The event will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta between December 15 and 17 y will have 16 teams who will compete for a prize pool of $1M.

The event will occupy one of the main esports segments of DreamHack Atlanta and will be adjacent to the tournament ESL Challenger CS:GOthe tfighting video games oreos and the tournament ESL StarCraft 2 Masters.

The addition of Call of Duty Mobile was first announced in April 2023 as part of a larger deal between CoD developer Activision and the ESL FACEIT group. The mobile version of call of duty Has occupied all levels of the Snapdragon Pro SeriesEFG’s competitive mobile esports circuit that includes, among others, Clash Royale, MLBB, Brawl Stars y Asphalt 9.

The Snapdragon Pro Series consists of various events around the world, and CoD Mobile is present in all competitive regions. Besides, CoD Mobile forms part of the Masters Tier of the Series, which allows the top players qualify for the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters event in early 2024.

This will be the second year in a row that the World Championships have been held in North America. The Tribe Gaming organization is the defending champion, having won last year’s event held in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The CoD Mobile competitive circuit underwent changes for 2023, due to the aforementioned association between the EFG and Activision. The main event prize pool is also slightly less than last year’s $1.7M, but is offset by other activations, rewards, and smaller competitions throughout the year.
