Esemka Becomes the First Local Car Brand to Participate in the IIMS Exhibition

The local car brand, Esemka, surprisingly took part in the annual Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive exhibition. Even though the brand whose factory was inaugurated in 2019, previously always missed the opportunity to take part in automotive exhibitions held in the country. Esemka became the first local car brand to take part in the IIMS event.

As explained by the IIMS 2023 Project Manager, Rudi MF, Esemka himself contacted Dyandra Promosindo, to take part in the IIMS 2023 event which was held on 16-26 February.

“So if you look at the number of brands, the official names, including one that has confirmed to take part in the IIMS, Esemka, a local brand. Friends from Esemka, brand representatives who directly contacted us said they wanted to take part, we have prepared proper land of course. in the car hall and occupies Hall A. If you look at the floor plan, it means that it will be next to the Suzuki and Jeep booths,” Rudi told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday (2/2/2023).

“To take part in IIMS, this is the first time (for Esemka),” he continued.

The Esemka logo itself does not appear on the list of four-wheeled brands participating in IIMS 2023. According to Rudi, this is because Esemka’s permit was only given today. “Every publication must first ask permission from the brand representative. In terms of the timeline, we only got the permit today. That’s why at yesterday’s media gathering and previous events, there was no (Esemka’s name),” added Rudi.

For the record, IIMS 2023 will be attended by various four-wheeled brands, from Audi, BMW, Citroen, Chery, Daihatsu, DFSK, FIN Komodo, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, KIA, MG, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Wuling, Volkswagen, Esemka, are general importers of Prestige Image Motorcars.
