Arifin explained that the electric stove program aims to increase the demand for electricity. As demand increases, so does the electricity draw. Additionally, the government is currently encouraging the use of electric vehicles.

Rida explained that the price of this package of electric stoves is around 1.8 million rupees, so if the target is 300,000 households, the budget needed this year is around 540 billion rupees.

Currently, the power that will be distributed is 800 watts for two ovens. However, there is an input from the DPR so that the power is increased to 1,000 watts.

If a power change is made, Rida said there will be an additional budget for an electric heater package. For example, currently with 800 watts of power it is 1.8 million Rp., So with 1000 watts of power it can reach 2 million Rp.

Trial to convert 3 kg of LPG into an electric stove is currently underway in three cities, namely Denpasar, Solo and another in Sumatra.
