Escalating Risks of Russian Military Aggression Against NATO and Europe: SAB Report Warns of Putin’s Increasing Confidence

“If the West does not significantly increase its support for Ukraine, the Putin regime will gain confidence in its ability to influence the West, as well as Russia’s imperial appetite will increase in the foreseeable future. The Russian army, on the other hand, will have gained enormous combat experience, including fighting against Western military equipment and armaments,” says SAB.

The office concludes: “All this, together with the planned expansion of the army, will increasingly increase the risks of Russian military aggression against NATO as well.”

The report emphasizes: “(..) it is already able to produce more in certain sectors than all the EU member states put together in a year. What’s more, in the next few years, Russia plans to extensively develop its army, including increasing its presence in Europe, especially in Northern Europe and the Baltic states , direction.”
