The artist, Sawsan Badr, was a guest on the “Her Excellency” program with the artist, Esaad Younes, on Tuesday evening. During the meeting, she talked about the scenes of the recently shown “Mother of the World” documentary series, and her opinion on the importance of works that document the importance of preserving the Egyptian identity.

Sawsan Badr talked about the beginning of her relationship with the director and photographer Mahmoud Rashad, and she said: “From the first time I knew him, he made me makeup and he was really a genius, and he was very young at this time, and after years he was sitting on the laptop and told me how the great ancient Egyptian civilization is. A documentary about her, and all the films are Khawajat.”
And she added: “One time he spoke to me at 5 am, the Almighty told me to film a need, we went to the October 6 Bridge and he sat filming me, and he was preparing a visualization of the movie.”
Esaad Younis also hosted photographer and director Mahmoud Rashad, who talked about the beginning of his relationship with cinema, saying: “I have been working as a cinema maker for 15 years. For 5 years, I felt that I had finished this career. I photographed a period of photography, and foreign magazines request short films that are exposed with photography. This was my beginning.”
Rashad added: “Once I filmed Sawsan Badr in the museum, I told her we want to make a film in which we talk about the papyrus (going out into the day). She praised the idea and liked it. This film worked well with people. After that, I made another short film, and after that a documentary film.” .
And about the scenes of his cooperation with Sawsan Badr, he revealed: “I told her we want to shoot pictures from which to make a movie, and I worked with foreign stations to write films about ancient Egypt for them, and it was necessary for Sawsan Badr’s fame to be used positively.”
The “Watch It” platform showed the movie Umm al-Dunya, which talks about the greatness of ancient Egyptian civilization, and how the ancestors created a huge inheritance from ancient Egyptian antiquities and temples. And the actress, Sawsan Badr, tells the story of the movie with the voiceover, “Voice Over.” Then each king talks about the ancient Egyptian civilization.
