SOE Minister Erick Thohir’s plan to dissolve non-operating SOEs is not a figment. After conveying the plan several times, Erick Thohir finally announced the dissolution of the 3 SOEs.
The SOEs are PT Paper Kraft Aceh (Persero), PT Industri Glass (Persero) and PT Industri Sandang Nusantara (Persero).
“With a long way to go. Thank God we are waiting for the government regulation in June,” Erick said in a press conference, Thursday (17/3/2022).
Erick said that Aceh’s Kraft Paper had not been operating since 2008. Then, the Glass Industry had not been operating since 2015. Then, Nusantara’s Clothing and Clothing Industry in 2018.
“Of course, we cannot continue to hang on. We cannot be tyrannical leaders who do not ensure that we are in favor of an amicable solution,” he said.
Erick said that his party would resolve the staffing issue. The Glass Industry itself has been completed in September 2021.
“Alhamdulillah, I also appreciate Danareksa and PPA. Here, Mr. Ari and Mr. Yadi can also solve the 429 staffing issues for Iglas, which has been completed in September 2021,” he said.
The staffing of the other two SOEs will also be resolved. “And of course, as our responsibility, the leaders who are given the mandate, of course for the other two companies we will also resolve it well,” he explained.
On the other hand, Erick Thohir said, SOEs continue to open up job opportunities. Erick said that his party had recruited 7,351 people in BUMN.
“But of course we are also SOEs with good consolidation and continue to open up job opportunities. We have recruited 7,351 in all SOEs. Young people who can be part of the transition to the future state-owned enterprises,” he said.
