The director of the coronavirus laboratory of the National Center for Biotechnology of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), Luis Enjuanes, who heads the research on the first intranasal vaccine against covid-19, maintains that, if all goes well, it could be available next year.
The virologist, who offers this Saturday the conference ‘Human coronavirus epidemics: origin and protection’ at the Granada Science Park, has indicated to EFE that they have already carried out the initial tests and shown that this vaccine also induces immunity in the respiratory mucous membranes, the route of entry of the virus.
