Enis Berberoğlu went on a home permit within the scope of ‘coronavirus measures’

CHP Istanbul Deputy Enis Berberoğlu, whose deputies were reduced at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, was detained and arrested. Berberoğlu was arrested last night for a final prison sentence and was taken to Maltepe Prison. Berberoğlu was reported to have been sent to her home due to a coronavirus outbreak. It was learned that Berberoğlu’s 18-month sentence had been spent until 31 July outside, and that the rest had been spent in prison. Upon this, Berberoğlu was released from Maltepe Prison.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Enis Berberoğlu, who was sentenced to 5 years and 10 months in prison for “disclosing information that should remain confidential in terms of the security of the state or domestic or foreign political benefits for the purpose of political and military espionage” and was convicted by the Supreme Court, in his trial in his house in Bakırköy yesterday evening. He was taken into custody and arrested by the court he was taken to and sent to Maltepe L Type Prison.
