On the radio station “talkSPORT” Petit responded to the question of whether Bellingham was the best footballer in the world: “Yes, for me it is. Because we’re talking about Real Madrid. We’re not talking about Paris Saint-Germain.” Since his €103 million move from Borussia Dortmund to Los Blancos, the Englishman has shone with top performances.

“PSG is a great club, but…”

As a midfielder, the 20-year-old scored 17 times and scored five goals. For the 1998 world champion, Bellingham’s performance is higher than Mbappe’s: “Paris Saint-Germain is a great club, but it doesn’t have the same history as Madrid. Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real for years, and if it happens this summer he could prove to Petit that he could also impress at Los Blancos. But it is not yet clear whether there will be a change. PSG has not given up the chance of an extension either.

PSG President Al-Khelaifi has just appealed to the French radio station “RMC” for the superstar to stay: “I won’t hide the fact that I want Kylian to stay, the best player in the world is Kylian and the best club for him is Paris.”
