ABU DHABI, 25th November, 2020 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, honored a group of retirees from the Ministry, by awarding them commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation, to mark the their sincere giving to the service of the nation.
The awards ceremony, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State , Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State and a number of officials.
On this occasion, His Highness said that our celebration today of this group of retired employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation constitutes a message of appreciation and gratitude for their sincere national efforts which have increased the diplomatic successes of the Emirates and helped enhance the country’s distinguished reputation regionally and globally.
His Highness said, “On this occasion, dear to all our hearts, we affirm our pride in what you have presented during your inspiring career that has enriched Emirati diplomacy. You have managed to represent our country well in various forums.” regional and international, and you have made great efforts to enhance the country’s global reputation and highlight its development achievements.” leaders in various fields.
He added that their great services to the motherland will always be appreciated and respected, stressing that they are national role models and role models for young people and future generations.
His Highness invited the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to follow the example of this heartfelt national march presented by their retired colleagues, as they have been the best ambassadors of their country and have managed to build bridges of communication and to convey the civilized image of the country to the whole world, as well as highlighting the values of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity that are well rooted in our society.
His Highness extended his thanks and appreciation to the retirees of the Ministry, expressing his pride in what they have provided to Emirati diplomacy and their leading role in enhancing the country’s reputation and leadership at various levels.
