Final ready with Norwegian record
Tomoe Zenimoto Hvas reached the final of the 100 m butterfly with a Norwegian record, while Henrik Christiansen finished fourth in the 400 m freestyle during the European Short Course Championships in swimming.
21-year-old Hvas broke his own Norwegian record with 49.22 in the semifinals of the 100 meter butterfly. He went really hard in the semifinals and led halfway with 22.79. He won his heat in superb style and cheered wildly for the time being.
Henrik Christiansen had the third best time with 3.40.85 in the trial heat earlier in the day. In the final, he recorded 3.39.42 and finished fourth. Christiansen was 1.09 seconds behind the winner.
He will also swim 1500 meters free on Wednesday, with the final on Thursday, and 800 meters free on Saturday with the final day of the European Championships on Sunday.
