He will host the show on May 8 amid the success of his companies in recent weeks. Shares of Tesla rose nearly six times before their value before the pandemic, and Forbes estimated his fortune at $ 177 billion. His company, SpaceX, launched a crew of astronauts into orbit to the International Space Station on Friday.
Businessmen usually do not receive invitations to host the show, but Musk is not the traditional corporate type of entrepreneur. He regularly jokes on Twitter, where he has over 52 million followers.
Miley Cyrus will be among the guests in the show, which will be hosted by Musk.
