News from the NOSModified

Elon Musk’s much-discussed acquisition of Twitter has yet to be completed. The tech billionaire will pay $ 44 billion for the social network, the amount he offered in April, according to a leading US media report.

The news has not yet been officially confirmed, but Musk tweeted that “the bird has been released,” a reference to the Twitter logo. Earlier this week, he had already changed the description in his Twitter bio to “Chief Twit”.

According to US media, Twitter bosses Parag Agrawal and Ned Segal have already been fired by Musk.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Musk, against expectations, still wanted to take over the platform for the agreed amount. A little less than two weeks later, a lawsuit over the closed deal was due to begin. The billionaire had unilaterally canceled it last summer. According to him, Twitter has not been honest about the number of fake and spam accounts.

Once a deal is reached for an acquisition, the next period is usually not that exciting anymore. Since Musk first said yes, then no and then wanted to Twitter anyway, now it’s been exciting all the way to the end if there wasn’t an unexpected twist.

Joke with sink

Earlier this week, however, it was revealed that he had promised the bankers co-financing his acquisition that the deal will be completed this week. He also initiated an important administrative act: the request and the transfer of 13 billion dollars that he receives from the banks. This marked the final stage.

Additionally, Elon Musk himself paid a visit to Twitter headquarters on Wednesday. As a joke he had a sink (in English sink) in his hands so he can joke “let it sink”.

Elon Musk owns, among others, the automaker Tesla and the aerospace company SpaceX. He is considered the richest man in the world by the Forbes business magazine, with a net worth of approximately $ 300 billion.
