Elon Musk Amazed by the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Camera

KOMPAS.com – Samsung has launched its best phone for this year, which is none other than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The flagship cellphone immediately caught the attention of netizens thanks to a 200 MP camera.

One of the advantages of the 200 MP Galaxy S23 Ultra camera is being able to take pictures of the moon. In fact, Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk was also amazed by the capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera.

It all started when a well-known YouTuber reviewer of gadgets, namely Marques Brownlee aka “MKBHD” demonstrated the capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200 MP camera when photographing the moon at night.

In a 14-second video uploaded to his personal Twitter account (@MKBHD), Brownlee holds the Galaxy S23 Ultra while looking at the moon.

He shifted the magnification button (zoom) in stages from 1x to 100x. At 100x magnification, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is capable of photographing the moon.

It was this video that amazed Elon Musk about the camera capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

“Wow,” said Elon Musk in reply to the @MKBHD post.

The word “wow” represents Musk’s admiration for the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera capabilities when used to photograph the moon.

Until this news was written, a demonstration video from MKBHD when the Galaxy S23 Ultra photographed the moon had received 32 million views (views), more than 312,000 likes and 26,500 retweets.

We had the opportunity to visit the Helix Bridge and take beautiful pictures of the city lights of Singapore at night with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

From there, we can photograph the moon with only 30x digital magnification, like the image above.

From KompasTekno’s experience, using the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera to take pictures in low light conditions feels so easy. We only need to point the camera at the object, and press the shutter button, including when photographing the moon.

The 200 MP camera of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is capable of capturing bright, clear and sharp views of the city lights of Singapore at night.

This is because the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200 MP camera already uses Isocell HP2. The camera sensor is equipped with qualified automatic focusing with Super QPD technology. This technology is said to use 200 million pixels for faster and more accurate autofocusing.

In other words, once the camera application is opened, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will lock focus more quickly on objects that appear on the screen.

Apart from that, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is also now powered by the strongest chipset from Qualcomm, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

This special chipset is claimed to bring a 25 percent increase in GPU (graphics processing) performance and 5 percent for CPU performance, compared to the “ordinary” Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which this year is widely used in a line of flagship phones from various cellphone vendors.

The increase in CPU and GPU also contributes to faster image capture and image processing in low light conditions on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
