Andreas Hanche-Olsen had a contentious match against Haugesund, but in the end a substitute stole the spotlight.
Substitute Darren Maatsen became the big hero for Stabæk with his 2-1 scoring quarter before the end. The Dutchman was brought to the club this summer, but was injured almost immediately.
On Saturday, he made a comeback after being out since mid-July.
Maatsen screwed the ball just as well in the cross from 16 meters and secured three points for Stabæk.
– It can not be made more beautiful, Kenneth Fredheim commented on TV Norway when the ball ended up in the crossbar behind Helge Sandvik in the Haugesund goal.

From scoring to cloning
Stabæk went out in a hundred at home on Nadderud against Haugesund on Saturday night. They pushed the away team backwards in the field and took the lead after 12 minutes
Stabæk’s captain Andreas Hanche-Olsen was selected for the national team for the match against Northern Ireland last week.
The midfielder seemed to fly on a good wave of confidence and poked in the lead for the home team after 12 minutes.
The captain quarreled the ball in goal after chaotic after Haugesund failed to put the Stabæk players offside.
But as half an hour had passed, the jubilation should subside. A post from Mikkel Desler was slid tackled towards his own goal by Hanche-Olsen. Goalkeeper Marcus Sandberg was already on his way out to the field and was totally played out by his teammate.
– Classic nightmare for the goalkeeper and Hanche-Olsen himself, said expert Bengt Eriksen during the break.
The Stabæk bauta was himself annoyed during the break.
– It is a bit clumsy in front of his own goal and well done on the score. So then I will probably start at zero in the second half, he summed up.

New almost-mistake
After 65 minutes, the Stabæk stopper was about to cling to it once again. A weak and loose rebound was intercepted by Ibrahima Wadji. Only a vigilant Sandberg saved the finish before a defender cleared the return away at the last second.
– What is he doing, Andreas Hanche-Olsen, exclaimed commentator Tor Ole Skullerud.
– He has given away one goal tonight and is close to giving away another, he continued.
Haugesund pressed hard around the middle in the second half, but the home team resisted and eventually took over.
They also got a payoff from substitute Maatsen, who with his goal sends Stabæk up to 8th place after Saturday’s victory.
