Cruel coping in Aalesund causes several experts to react strongly.
AAFK MJØNDALEN 1-3
There were heated discussions just before the break in the match between Aafk and Mjøndalen at Color Line Stadion.
On the score 2-0 to the visitors, Mjøndalen’s Tonny Brochmann downed Simen Bolkan Nordli with a cruel tackle.
In TV2’s studio, expert Jesper Mathisen characterized the whole thing as revenge after the Danish lost the ball just seconds earlier.
– It’s a revenge campaign. There he has lost the ball, then it is scissors on poor Bolkan Nordli. There is Bolkan Nordli lucky who does not wiggle an ankle or worse. There are grumpy games of the Danish and he should of course have been sent straight into the wardrobe, Mathisen raged at TV2.
In the studio, there was broad agreement that Mjøndalen’s offensive midfielder should have been sent straight into the shower.
– It’s ugly. He regularly kicks down Simen Bolkan Nordli. He only gets a yellow card, says a slightly shocked Ole Martin Årst.
Former top judge Svein-Erik Edvartsen was also wise in his assessment.
– Brochmann should have had a red card for serious violation of the rules of the game when he caught Nordli from behind. No opportunity to play ball. Exposes opponent to danger, he writes on Twitter.
Mathisen thinks the decision of Judge Sivert Oeksnes Amland joins a number of weak referee performances so far this season.
– We have seen several cases of this in this year’s season. The judges seem to have taken total vacation during the break that has been. Both on yellow and red cards, as well as penalties, they have made many big mistakes. This is a mistake at an incredibly important time, Mathisen concludes.
Aafk’s Sigurd Haugen was shown a yellow card after 90 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Mjøndalen leads the match 2-1 after scores by Shuaibu Ibrahim and Vetle Dragsnes. Niklas Castro reduced the lead for Aalesund to 83 minutes into the game.
In overtime, Sondre Liseth put in 3-1 and secured three points for Mjøndalen.
