Elisabeth Borne’s Instagram account hits 49.3k subscribers following pension reform hoax

The joke, which refers to article 49.3 used at the time of the reform, was launched on Sunday by a user. A few hours later, due to the success of the operation, the Prime Minister’s account was changed from public to private.

Matignon had the reference. A surfer had fun on Sunday March 19 to make fun of Elisabeth Borne’s Instagram account. In the afternoon, at 4:32 p.m. to be precise, Twitter user @EstChauve posted: ” If this tweet reaches 50 likes, I send 27,000 fake subscribers to Elisabeth Borne so that she has exactly 49.3k subscribers.” The Prime Minister’s account then had 12,300 subscribers.

If he miscalculated when making his announcement, this Internet user still succeeded, since at 8:08 p.m., the Instagram account displayed 49.3 followers, after having gained 37,000 followers, according to the Social Blade site. A score which obviously refers to the use of this article of the Constitution drawn on Friday in the National Assembly by the Prime Minister for pension reform. @EstChauve congratulated the head of government.

This joke was not to the liking of Elisabeth Borne’s team, who made the Prime Minister’s account public. The number of subscribers then dwindled so that the joke would end.
