Elias Nelich actually played for the Brandenburgliga before he suffered a broken tibia and calf at the age of 19. Elias stayed in bed for weeks and started playing a lot of FIFA.

Elias streams his matches Twitch. This is how an injured “simulator” initially became an unstoppable electronic athlete: Elias quickly made it into the top 100 in the world through his (first!) participation, and later even into the top 64 in the FIFA Championship.
