Eli Iserbyt groans with pain, has he broken his elbow? | Super prestige

Eli Iserbyt defended his first place in the Superprestige this afternoon, but things went wrong early in the game. In the chase, the 23-year-old topper hit a crowd barrier.

Iserbyt clutched his elbow and squirmed on the grass. “He was in a lot of pain. Eli just did not lose consciousness”, said national coach Sven Vanthourenhout who stood nearby.

An ambulance had to pick Iserbyt off the track for treatment. We may know later today how serious the injury is. The chance that Iserbyt will start tomorrow in the new World Cup Cross in Dendermonde seems very small.

Iserbyt has had little luck in this Christmas holiday. Last week in Namur, he only finished 31st after material failure in the first round.
