Electricity price increase from the new year. There is a decision of the Energy Regulatory Office

There will be further increases in electricity prices. From the new year, our bills will increase by at least a dozen or so zlotys per month. The Energy Regulatory Office has approved some of the new price lists of energy companies.

Households using the Enea, PGE Obrót and Taurona tariffs will pay an average of 3.5 percent from January 1, 2021. more for electricity – informed the ERO. In the case of Enea, the tariff will increase by 3.5%, for PGE Obrót it will be 3.6%, and for Tauron Sprzedaż – 3.55%. The proceedings regarding the tariffs of the fourth vendors from the Energi Obrót office are still pending.

According to the Energy Regulatory Office, from the new year, the bills of energy consumers from the G11 group – in households with average electricity consumption, on average slightly below 2 MWh per year – will increase by approx. PLN 1.5 per month. As the RMF FM journalist Krzysztof Berenda notices, it doesn’t seem like much, but let’s remember that it’s just one component of the accounts.

It will come to that from the new year fee for Renewable Energy Sources, i.e. an additional PLN 2.2 per megawatt hour. There will also be a new so-called power fee – an average of about PLN 7 per month.

There will also be a few zlotys electricity delivery chargesu. We will find out exactly how much it will be when we know the next decision of the Energy Regulatory Office.

It will all make you the monthly electricity bill will increase by several zlotys. Since most electricity suppliers issue bills for two months, we expect that the final fees on each invoice will be PLN 20-30 higher than today.
