The electric ones are sold, the plug-in hybrids much less. The data on the European market for the 2nd quarter of 2022 confirm a well-established trend.
Electricity sells: + 11% in Europe, plug-in at -12.5%
European motorists, evidently, consider the plug-in hybrid to be one passing technology. Less and less necessary as the autonomy of the electric ones continues to increase. He confirms it the analysis carried out by the European Association of Manufacturers, THAT, on sales in the period April-June 2022.
- The registrations of electric vehicles (BEV) in the EU have grown dell’11,1%, a quota 233.413. Spain and France most of all contributed to the positive performance, (+ 22.0% and + 18.6% respectively). Italy black sheep (-19.6%), Germany practically stable. (-0.5%). Market share al 9,9%.
- The ibride plug-in (PHEV) suffer a double-digit decline (-12,5% a 206.501 car). With the exception of Spain (+ 11.3%), all key markets recorded a decline: France (-17.4%), Germany (-16.9%) and Italy (-6.9%). Market share: 8,7%.
Collapse in sales of natural gas cars, LPG holds
Among the alternative engines, yet another stands out collapse of methane. The registrations of natural gas vehicles (NGV) in the European Union are collapsed by 62.9%, with 4,983 units sold in the quarter.
