In terrifying moments, an electric scooter exploded in a house in London, while it was connected to the electric current to charge the battery.
The battery explosion caused a fire in the kitchen, where the house keeper was charging his scooter.
Dale Williams said: “I bought it two weeks ago, if you have a similar device ship it abroad, I’m grateful to be alive.”
A London fire service official said that this type of fire has become more common in the recent period, stressing the need to install alarms to avoid disasters.
Private e-bikes cannot be legally ridden on roads or pavements in the UK but have become commonplace in recent times.
