Audi has added the so-called S version to the existing e-tron range. This new version is also the most powerful e-tron thanks to an additional electric motor, which improves the model’s performance.
Thanks to the addition of a third electric motor – two on the rear axle and one on the front axle – the Audi e-tron S has a system power of 369 kW (503 hp). This brings the power gain compared to the 55 version to 70 kW (95 hp).
Thanks to the extra power, the S version sprints to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds. The top speed is 210 kilometers per hour. However, thanks to the performance potential, you get a little less far on a battery landing, despite the fact that the usable capacity of the battery pack with 86 kWh is slightly higher.
Audi expects a range of 350 kilometers for the e-tron S and 365 kilometers of driving range for the e-tron S Sportback.
The models can be recognized by a differently arranged bumper and flared wheel arches. The S versions will be available at dealers later this month. Prices are not yet known.
