Elden Ring doesn’t give competition a chance in 2022. FromSoftware’s success with overwhelming lead on Game of the Year awards

2022 was totally dominated by Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team. Already 149 gaming sites and newsrooms have listed Elden Ring as the best game of the past 12 months.

FromSoftware’s work gives almost no chance to other novelties of 2022. God of War has received only 28 Game of the Year awards. Further productions this year are separated by an even bigger gap. Immortality won four GOTY awards and Pentiment three.
