El dia de los Muertos takes place for the 12th year in Bordeaux by the Latino Mex association and LaFiesta Bordeaux (Alejandro ZAPATA). 2 dates and 2 grandiose events including THE CATRINAS parade await you on November 2 & 4 in Bordeaux.

The Latino Mex association presents 2 dates, an event for adults and children alike, with family or friends!

“El Dia de Los Muertos” The Day of the Dead under our grayish November skies often doesn’t have much in the way of celebration. In Mexico, the tribute begins on November 2, continues throughout the month, and takes the form of a brightly colored fiesta, where even the skulls take on a joyful appearance…

Thursday, NOVEMBER 2 CATRINAS parade (free)

On November 2, the CATRINAS PARADE takes place on rue St Remi, meet at La Maison du Pérou from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., you can come and have your makeup done or have your makeup done on site by the association, you can also have Mexican hot chocolate and Pan de Muertos (Mexican bread “Pan des muertos” which is made especially for this period).

Saturday November 4th the evening “Vivan Los Muertos”

Doors open from 2 p.m. to midnight at Vivres de l’Art. €7 entry / €5 reduced rate and free for children. The traditional “Dia de Muertos” the Bordeaux Day of the Dead, which does not take place in the cemetery as in Mexico but at the Vivres de l’Art, an evening of human encounter and the underworld, in music, with art and gastronomy and surprises!

Each year a Grand ALTAR DE MUERTOS is inaugurated (Hotel dedicated to the Dead as Mexican tradition requires) and a Catrina Competition: Makeup for adults and children. Latino cuisine on site
