Eisenkopf becomes LH representative in Burgenland

Burgenland’s governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) announced on Thursday in Eisenstadt personnel changes after the state election. After the departure of the FPÖ from the government, State Councilor Astrid Eisenkopf became deputy governor, Doskozil announced after the SPÖ party executive. Robert Hergovich, who had previously held this position, will become club chairman again.

Dax will play a “special role” in the future – not just as a member of the state parliament and in the club, he will take special care of the city of Oberwart in order to achieve a good success here in the two-year municipal council election.

The SPÖ is now in a situation where one side has sole government. There had never been a situation where all other SPÖ parties faced opposition. Here it is very important that the state parliament club is held together by experience. “There has to be a line,” and that’s why his suggestion fell on Hergovich.
