EISA Awards: These are the best cameras & lenses 2020

EISA recognized the best cameras and lenses from the past 12 months. Numerous manufacturers can dust off awards.

EISA Awards 2020

Every year in August, 55 trade magazines from 25 countries choose the best cameras and lenses from the last 12 months. This is where the so-called EISA Awardsthat have now been awarded for the year 2020.

Let’s not even talk around the bush for long – let’s take a look at the awards that the European Imaging & Sound Association presented this year.

The best cameras

  • Camera of the year: Fuji X-T4

Canon can claim three awards for lenses, namely for the lens of the year, the best standard zoom and the most innovative lenses. Tamron, Sony and Nikon each go home with two awards and Sigma can at least claim the award for the best wide-angle zoom.

Other awards

  • Drone: DJI Mavic Air 2
  • Software: Nik Collection 3
  • Monitor: EIZO ColorEdge CS2740

Numerous tests have already shown that the DJI Mavic Air 2 has been the best new drone in the last 12 months. Meanwhile, the prize for the best software goes to DxOs Nik Collection 3while as the best monitor for photographers the EIZO ColorEdge CS2740 is awarded.

Of course, at the awards you can discuss here and there whether a different product should not have been awarded, but by and large we at least agree with this year’s EISA Awards. Although one also has the feeling that the association has made a conscious effort not to disadvantage any manufacturer.

Do you agree with the awards or would you have recognized other products?
