Eintracht Frankfurt has announced a departure. Ragnar Ache is drawn to the 2nd Bundesliga with 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt currently has almost 40 professionals under contract and definitely wants to reduce its XXL squad before the start of the Bundesliga. With Rafael Borre and Djibril Sow, two players will almost certainly leave SBU soon, as sporting director Markus Krösche confirmed at the Austrian training camp. “Everyone knows where he is. It’s important to be open and honest with the players,” said the SBU sports director.

Eintracht Frankfurt confirms Ache departure
With another player, Eintracht Frankfurt is already further, because Ragnar Ache has left the club. The attacker, who played on loan for SpVgg Greuther Fürth last season, is drawn to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The 24-year-old wants to confirm his strong past season at the traditional club, under Dino Toppmöller he probably wouldn’t have had a great chance of making appearances.
Ache is looking forward to his new task at the “Red Devils” and that the transfer worked out: “In the end, the fans were also decisive for my move. The atmosphere and impact that I experienced here last season was unbelievable. I’m happy to play for this traditional club and I’m looking forward to the first game with the team.”

Meanwhile, 1. FC Kaiserslautern is happy to have found a new striker in Ache. “Ragnar Ache is a type of striker that we really wanted to add to our squad. He has a very physical and dynamic style of play and increases our overall quality in the center of the attack. We are pleased that he will take his next steps with us and hope that he will integrate quickly,” said FCK Managing Director Thomas Hengen.

Ragnar Ache, who will wear number nine at the Betzenberg, came to Main from Sparta Rotterdam in the summer of 2020 but was unable to assert himself. The former German U21 international was repeatedly thrown back by injuries. Now the Eintracht Frankfurt chapter is closing and a new one is beginning in the Palatinate. (smr)
