Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on the plan to reduce electrical loads nationwide
Counselor Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, said that the government responded to many requests submitted by parliamentarians and citizens regarding changing the dates for reducing electricity loads during the current period, and not cutting off electricity at night, in view of the start of the mid-year exams, indicating In response to the government’s response to these demands, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly had previously directed that work be quickly achieved to achieve these demands, by implementing a plan to reduce loads during daylight hours only.
The official spokesman added: The Ministry of Electricity has taken a number of measures during the past days, and it is scheduled to actually begin implementing what was agreed upon, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, when the period for reducing loads will be compressed to be from 11 a.m. until five p.m., provided that it is announced. The Ministry schedules load reduction for each region (two hours for each region), so that the reduction period ends at five in the evening.
This came in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Engineer Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Gaber El-Desouki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, Dr. Magdy Galal, Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, and Engineer Mahmoud El-Naqeeb, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company.
